|Access & Engagement Clinician
A Full Time Access & Engagement QMHP position is available immediately at Clatsop Behavioral Healthcare. This position is the front door to our services and plays a critical role in evaluating individuals experiencing psychiatric distress. This position will engage, assess and help to create a plan for individuals of all ages in multiple settings including the local ER, the jail, the community mental health center and other locations. The position is part of a multi-disciplinary team and works out of our Warrenton North Coast Crisis Respite Center but spends a fair amount of time out in the community. Hours and schedule will include weekdays, some evenings, and the possibility of an occasional weekend.
A Master’s degree in Behavioral Sciences from an accredited university is required. Three or more years of outpatient clinical experience working with the mentally ill is strongly preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to prioritize is essential. Dependability and being a positive member of the team will help insure job success. Must have a valid OR or WA DL, a MVR that meets agency insurance requirements, and pass a state required background check.

|On-Call Crisis Respite Worker
Clatsop Behavioral Healthcare is looking to establish an on-call pool for Crisis Respite workers. Position will work as vacation relief and on call emergency fill in for the Crisis Respite Center. This is an entry level position and the following duties and tasks are generalized from full time workers. Crisis Respite Worker will assist with group and individual skills enrichment programs. Will provide general duties such as cleaning and cooking. May be asked to transport clients to and from appointments. May help assist clients in finding employment.
Required that the candidate have some personal or professional experience with individuals that have severe and persistent mental illness or developmental disability. Previous experience in a mental health setting preferred. Post-Secondary education in a behavioral science field also desirable.
Valid Oregon or Washington Driver’s License required, as well as ability to meet the insurance requirements of the agency. Employment will be contingent on meeting insurance requirements and the successful passing of a criminal history check. Non-Benefited Position. No guaranteed hours. Salary DOE. |Peer Support Specialist
A Full Time Peer Support Specialist position is available immediately at Clatsop Behavioral Healthcare. The Peer Support Specialist performs a variety of tasks in support of Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) and Community Support Services (CSS) program objectives. Will be responsible, as part of a multidisciplinary team, to provide peer support services to promote and support adults with mental health challenges pursue their recovery goals. The Peer Support Specialist will assist individuals in accessing needed resources, address barriers related to their mental health condition, and develop skills that promote recovery. High school diploma or equivalent is required. Must be a self-identified person currently or formerly receiving mental health services.
